Detailed EVI Data Upgrade available now through collaboration with Zapmap

We are pleased to announce that an upgrade is available to Cenex's National EV Insight and Support (NEVIS) service to include enhanced EVI data through a collaboration with Zapmap to offer this data at a reduced rate to Local Authorities.

This data covers 95% of UK charge points with detailed information including the charge point operator (CPO), power rating of connectors, location type of devices and date added to Zapmap for each location. Local Authorities have found this reliable and credible information helps them develop their understanding of what charge points have been installed where, when and by whom.

Two different packages are available: a basic package and an advanced package. As with everything on NEVIS, both include downloadable data which allows you to access information on the go. The advanced package includes more detail on the Location Type, Number of Connected by Power and Charge Point Operator Details.

These packages further allow you to widen the knowledge of electric vehicle infrastructure within your region, ensuring your planning and delivery work is informed by the best information on what EVI is already installed and where. The data can be downloaded from NEVIS to supplement your existing data sets with the exact location and descriptive data of charge points (for use in GIS or internal databases and analyses).

“In light of more LEVI funding being allocated and distributed, the need for reliable, up-to-date data is even more crucial to support decision making as the deployment of EVI accelerates. Local Authorities are integral to this by enabling the deployment of the right charging solutions in the right locations for a just transition.”

said Jade Edwards, Head of Insights at Zapmap.

Chris Rimmer, Infrastructure Strategy Lead at Cenex, added:

“Having precise detail on the number and type of charge points deployed in an area is key to developing evidence based EVI strategies and an important metric in tracking and shaping delivery for local residents and businesses.”
